Air to Ground Integration (AGI) Advisor) West Africa
SOI is looking for a candidate to fill the role as Air to Ground Integration (AGI) Advisor) to support a Department of State contract in West Africa. Required Qualifications: Ten (10) years’ mission-specific qualifications in doctrine execution (JP 3-09, Joint Fires Support, and JP 3-09.3 CAS), joint targeting processes, joint and coalition air-to-ground operations integration, to include practical operational experience with target identification, target vetting, command and control, and coordinating strikes on targets in a combat environment (e.g., indirect fires (IDF), 5-line (Close Combat Attack), 9-line (CAS), etc.). Two (2) years’ experience with multinational capabilities, limitations and employment of fixed and/or rotary wing platforms to conduct close air support. Two (2) years’ experience developing and delivering training modules to partner nations. Fluent English speaker/reader/writer. Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated experience in relationship management yielding zero customer complaints. Active Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain one.
Preferred two (2) years’ experience working with a developing nation’s military conducting AGI.
Preferred two (2) years’ experience as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller or Joint Fires Observer instructor and/or evaluator.
Preferred two (2) years’ military simulations trainer experience.
Preferred – U.S. military experience.
Professional Military Education Advisor Uzbekistan
SOI is looking for a candidate to fill the role as the Professional Military Education Advisor at the Armed Forces Academy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The candidate will provide critical training and advising to the Armed Forces Academy to encourage the AFA to continue implementation of modern pedagogical teaching techniques addressing lesson and course development, learning objective identification with increased emphasis on critical thinking, readings selection, question formulation, use of the media, student knowledge measurement, and program assessment.
Background: The Uzbekistan Armed Forces Academy (AFA), in coordination with the Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) and Ministry of Defense Advisor (MoDA) Program, has taken steps to update and modernize its mid-level officer Professional Military Education (PME) course with experience gained from recent NATO and U.S. operations. Over the last two years the Uzbek AFA has engaged the DEEP program and developed a Joint Strategic Plan. The AFA requested a MoDA advisor to complement efforts under the DEEP Strategic Plan and expand U.S.-led engagement at the AFA beyond the currently agreed subject matter. This MoDA program has been in place since September 2016. The MoDA Uzbekistan is embedded in the AFA.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with War College or Staff College (or equivalent) curriculum development.
- Fluency in Russian (reading, listening, and speaking) is highly desired. In the absence of such skill, must be willing to pursue pursue elementary reading and speaking facility in Russian.
- A working knowledge of Uzbek, or willingness to study the language, is desired
- Familiarity with DEEP and NATO strategic goals as it relates to military education.
- Substantial research experience and publications preferred. Need to possess familiarity with research methods and writing for academic publication

Senior Logistics Advisor
SOI is looking for a for Senior Logistics Advisor to be stationed in West Africa in support of a Department of State contract. Qualifications of the individual is detailed below
o Minimum Requirement: Prior demonstrated experience providing logistical advisory support in austere environments
o Two (2) years’ experience working with a developing nation’s military or governments in an advisory role
o Ten (10) years’ experience working military logistics
o Two (2) years’ experience working military logistics at the Brigade staff level (or equivalent) and above
o Native English competency with strong written and verbal communication skills
o Graduate of U.S. Armed Services Intermediate Level Education
o Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
o Demonstrated experience in relationship management yielding zero customer complaints
o Highly motivated self-starter able to operate with minimal in-country oversight.

o Former United States Military Personnel
