Colonel Peter W. Aubrey retired from the United States Army in 2012. A Special Forces officer who also held the designation as a specialist in African affairs, he served multiple tours overseas. During his 30 years of commissioned service, he served in a variety of command and staff assignments in Europe, Africa, Asia and North and South America, and throughout the Pacific Basin in both peacetime and war environments. His responsibilities included multiple Defense Attache tours and command positions up to brigade level.
